Brushing

With your cat, it will have to be resigned to it, because is inevitable: every day, without exception you must devote a little time to the brushing of its fur. As much to immediately accustom you to it! The scrupulous stockbreeders start, in fact, as soon as the kittens are very young; those thus take the practice to be handled for the remainder of their life. This daily ceremony is very significant, because while being licked to make its toilet, your Persan often swallows hairs. You will note that it expels them by the mouth in the shape of long wet droppings, as if it vomitted. To prevent that one day these balls block its stomach, give him grass with cat or get you a pomade in a shop of animals. The fur must be initially brushed in the direction of the hair, then in the contrary direction, without forgetting the interior of the legs, the zones of the throat and the belly, where are formed more easily of the nodes. Do not scent it: you are likely to irritate his sensitive skin. A well maintained cat smells good and does not need these artifices. And then do not forget that the perfumes or the toilet waters are alcoholic. Would you like that one puts some to you in the hair? Think there...

The bath

Everyone has their own theory on this subject. But it is evident that if you want to show your cat in a cat show, a bath is necessary (but never more than once every three weeks). Your persans fur secrets protective emoillients and too many baths can render this natural protection ineffective and could dehydrate the fur. Alwasy use products for felines only (sold in your local pet store). Never place your cat in the water without first checking the temperature. The water should be warm and not hot. Talk to your cat softly as you slowly emerse him in the water, stroking him but holding him firmly. Bring the shampoo to a lather, particularly on his stomach and under the tail. Be careful not to wet the eyes or the ears. Rinse him well and wrap him in a large towel, sponging out most of the water. You can use a hairblower on low, so that your cat can become accustomed to the noise, but that may not always be the case.

I can wash myself !!!

Tartar warning!

It is just as important to care for animal's teeth as it is your own. Tartar build-up alone can cause a number of problems for your cats: Bad breath, irritated and infected gums, and eventually, tooth loss. How can we prevent all of this? It's easy. Just feed your cat dry food that is low in magnesium, brush its teeth periodically with a toothbrush and toothpaste formulated especially for animals, and have its teeth checked one a year.

Do you like me teeth !!!
